Voter

In official Assembly results, the number of voters identifies members who took part under the voting categories used for that division. Their positions may be for, against or abstention. The figure should be distinguished from the number of votes cast, which normally excludes abstentions.

A result may list 400 voters but only 380 votes cast because 20 MPs abstained.

The number of voters and the number of votes cast are not necessarily the same.
