Show-of-hands vote

Voting by show of hands is the ordinary method for many decisions in a public sitting when no recorded vote is requested. The chair assesses the result and may arrange a check if it is unclear. The decision is valid, but no official list attributes an individual position to each MP.

The chair asks supporters of a clause to raise their hands and then declares it adopted.

The procedure takes place publicly but is not a published named vote.
