Promulgation

Promulgation occurs after Parliament has finally adopted a law and any constitutional review has been completed. The President of the Republic signs the promulgation decree within the constitutional time limit. The law is then published in the Official Journal, which is normally required before it enters into force.

After the Constitutional Council's decision, the President promulgates the law and it is published.

Parliamentary adoption, promulgation and entry into force are separate stages.
