Ordinary recorded vote

An ordinary recorded vote is held in a public sitting when requested or ordered under the Rules of Procedure. MPs record a vote for, against or abstention, including any valid proxy vote. The result and named analysis are published and provide the source used by CIVIX for individual positions.

A group chair requests an ordinary recorded vote on an amendment.

It differs from a formal vote mainly in scheduling and political presentation, not in the publication of positions.
