Ordinary law

An ordinary law begins as a government or private member's bill and is examined by both chambers under the usual legislative rules. In persistent disagreement, the National Assembly may be given the final say. After any constitutional review, promulgation and publication, it forms part of the legal order below the Constitution and other superior norms.

A reform of employment law is adopted as an ordinary law after the legislative shuttle.

Ordinary law differs from organic law by its constitutional subject and procedure, not by political importance.
