Order of business

The order of business determines which bills, debates, questions and other items are scheduled and in what sequence. It is organised within constitutional rules that allocate time between the Government, Parliament and oversight activities. The Conference of Presidents plays a central role in preparing this programme.

The order of business schedules a bill for Tuesday afternoon followed by a formal vote.

A text being tabled does not automatically place it on the order of business.
